Summer Smooth

Regular exfoliation is the easiest way to have baby-soft, glowing skin. Exfoliating makes skin glow and helps lotions and oils sink in better and faster. Sunless tanners go on smoother and more evenly. Even sunscreen seems to apply more evenly.

I look for natural ingredients that beautify skin while smoothing it.  I like essential oils that elevate the spirit. I avoid microbeads. They ruin the environment.

Here are some of my favourites:

Amarte Daily ExfoliPowder

This plant seed-based polishing cleanser is one my personal must-have skin care list.  It gently removes dry, dull skin to reveal a smooth, radiant complexion. The unique pearl powder-to-liquid formula activates to infuse skin with minerals and amino acids.  This Korean formula uses a unique combination of botanicals and gentle natural exfoliants so even sensitive skin types can use it every day. If you have been thinking about trying one of one the Korean skin care lines beauty editors rave about, this is a good one to try. I like to use it all on my chest and breasts too. It costs $37. BorgheseBorghese Sali Esfoliante Salt Scrub

This elegant salt scrub is full of minerals to support surface cell turnover and give skin a healthy glow. Anti-oxidant-rich Olive and Grape Seed Oils with Avocado, Mango and Shea Butters leave skin baby soft. This scrub is perfect for tackling knees, elbows, and feet. You will be so touchable from head to toe. It costs $24.99 from

St Ives Scrubs

St. Ives makes scrubs with the best natural ingredients that sell for a very reasonable price. They are all paraben-free and sulfate-free, too. I almost always have a tube of St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. The classic scrub can be used top to toe. I also like St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub with extra anti-aging ingredients. These are my go-to guilt-free indulgence at less than $5 a tube. Find them at drug, grocery, and big box stores.
