Skin needs extrs protection when exposed to bright sunlight as Anne's skin is while on the water.Recently, my beauty-savvy friend, Kem, drew my attention to Sunforget-
table Powder Brush Sun protection. It is part of the Colorescience, a line of beauty and anti-aging products so popular with beauty insiders that it can be hard to get your
hands on them. I couldn’t wait to find out more. The hottest trend in skin care is in products that improve  the appearance of skin while treating it.
Ask any top dermatologist or plastic surgeon and they will
tell you that sun exposure is the number cause of skin aging.
So, products that make skin look good, while nourishing and protecting it with a high SPF are all the rage!
Sunforgettable Mineral Powder Sun Protection 50 is a neat brush filled with highly refined minerals that shield skin from the damaging effects of the sun and environment while giving it a pretty glow. It is available in several shades as well as SPF 30 or 50. The light powder finish that helps to mask flaws, but looks light and natural is perfect for the summer heat.
Sunforgettable Primer SPF 30 also provides a high level of non-irritating, instant broad spectrum UVA and UVB sun protection. It helps to even out skin tones and leaves your face looking and feeling dewy. I love primer and always wear it. This one seems like a winner with white algae and botanicals to soothe ski and reduce redness. It is recommended as a base for the Sunforgettable Mineral Powder Sun Protection, but either can be used alone or with other products.
As the name implies, Colorescience combines color cosmetics with science to address women’s skin care concerns. There are illuminating serums full of peptides and antioxidants to reduce lines and firm skin while giving it a pretty champagne or bronze glow. I will buy this as soon as it is back in stock!
Brush on coverage and sun protectionColorescience seems to have a magic potion for every skin type from acne to dry aging skin. The line uses cutting edge ingredients and is well priced for what they offer. The emphasis is on sexy, pretty skin as opposed to runway trends. Most products cost between $45 and $65.
The trend towards multipurpose products that combine effective sun protection with anti-aging ingredients, as well as ingredients to make skin more radiant and beautiful, is growing.
Anthelios 50 Daily Anti-Aging Primer with Sunscreen: Advanced UVA/UVB protection + the instant correction for signs of aging from La Roche-Posey has been called a breakthrough product by experts.
Micro-particles of light reflecting silica that minimize skin imperfections are combined with state of the art UVA/UVB protection. The formula also contains traditional primer ingredients that make skin feel smooth and soft. Women love this product for its non-greasy feel. It costs less than $40.
Acne-prone women and those with sensitive skin are snatching up Boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA ++. This oil-free BB cream hydrates while diminishing the appearance of pores and fine lines, and concealing small flaws and blemishes. There is only one shade, so this works best for those with medium skin tones. It costs less than $40.
Perfect BB SPF 40/PA from 3LAB, a new high-tech luxury skin care line, is a tinted moisturizer packed with serious anti-aging ingredients. It leaves skin looking flawless and feeling fabulous. This is my personal favourite BB cream.
According to the company, Perfect BB "treats fine lines and wrinkles using anti-oxidants, vitamins, and botanicals, including Photocell Tec, Nano Clair GY™ and β-white to improve and even skin tone, brighten the skin, alleviate irritation and protect the skin from harmful UV rays and oxidative stress."
I love that a small amount of the SPF 40 cream leaves skin natural-looking but flawless for hours, even throughout my sweaty workouts.
