Veil Cosmetics launched in September 2012 at New York Fashion Week. Its Complexion Fix, a correcting concealer-highlighter, was a huge hit! Makeup artists and women love its Super-HD quality, weightless coverage, and refined texture.

The creation of celebrity makeup artist Sebastian Tardif, Complexion Fix in 12 shades can be used all over the face. It brightens the skin instantly and weightlessly, veiling areas of concern with buildable coverage and light-infused pigments. It also contains ingredients to helps fade spots too

Now their new product helps skin achieve the beautiful radiance of sunset or “magic hour” – the most flattering light of the day. It can be used as a primer to keep makeup fresh and long-lasting. It will also smooth and diminish the appearance of fine lines and pores, hydrate, plump, and brighten skin.

Sunset Light Primer, Serum, Mixing Base can be worn under, or mixed with, your favourite BB cream. This is my choice as it leaves my skin looking “naked but better” or mixed with your shade of Complexation Fix for a light and beautiful custom foundation. It can also be used to lighten and brighten your own favourite liquid and cream inundation, blushes, and concealer. It will make them go on easier and look and feel lighter. It is also good for your skin. It contains botanicals such as white water lily extract to brighten, cinnamon bark to plump and soothe, as well as anti-aging peptides and the powerful antioxidant ubiquinone with Sodium Hyaluronate to hydrate.

I am impressed with both products in this line. They make your skin look and feel fabulous, which is exactly what they promise. Veil Sunset Light Primer, Serum, Mixing Base is a unique product. I think it is easier to think of it as a matte primer that is really good for your skin. I even wear it alone or with just a few dabs of their Complexion Fix, a correcting concealer-highlighter. It makes your skin look that good if you don’t have major coverage needs. And while this is the last reason to buy a skin care item or cosmetic, it is a nice bonus: the packaging is tres chic. I love the modern use of retro turquoise and gold with the fleshy tones – it’s feminine and toney.
