Style and a rising star

NaijaeFashion is influenced by entertainment. We think pop artist Niajae has style! She is a Bronx native who relocated to Atlanta when she was only 18. She is already making a name for herself in a town where new singers blow in like pollen.

Don’t miss our exclusive DolceDolce interview with this rising star. We loved her fresh take on fashion, beauty, and making music.

DD: What inspires you when you write songs and perform?
N: Making people dance! I love to dance and see others dance as well.

DD: Who are your fashion and musical inspirations?
N: The Black Eyed Peas are one of my musical inspirations and Rihanna is one of my fashion inspirations. She’s not afraid to push the limit.

DD: Why is style important?
N: Style is important because it’s a form of expression. It allows you to set yourself apart or blend in. You can express your mood and personality through your style, the same as artist can through their music.

DD: How would you describe your own style?
N: My style is definitely glamorous with a little punk rock edge. I love pink, glitter, and rhinestones. At the same time, I love spikes, studs, and chains!

DD: What are your fashion must-haves?
N: A hot designer bag and a hot pair of stilettos!

DD: What is the secret of your fitness routine?
N: Hot yoga… Namaste!

DD: What are your favorite beauty must-haves?
N: Lip gloss! Whether you have no makeup on or a full face you have to have on lip gloss.

DD: What is always in your hand-bag?
N: MAC lip gloss, hand lotion, and breath mints.

DD: Share three of your best fashion or beauty tips.
N: Know how to dress for your body type so what you wear compliments you. Don’t be afraid to start your own trends. Beauty starts on the inside, so feel sexy and confident no matter what you have on.

DD: Where would you like to be in five years?
N: I would like to be touring and performing all over the world, inspiring young women, and making people dance.
