Illuminate for prettier skin

Beauty’s new buzz word is “illuminate.” Top makeup artists are using new lightweight, light -reflecting products to perfect skin instead of heavier products that attempt to conceal flaws.
In addition, these new skin perfecters, sometimes called BB creams, are full of anti-aging ingredients, so they do good while they make you look fabulous.
One of my favourites is Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturizer. It contains an ingredient called “Instalift” along with Hyaluronic Filling Spheres. It claims to give you a more lifted and radiant appearance in an hour. I loved the way it looked and felt. The effect is gorgeous. Skin looks dewy and radiant and feels fabulous. I love this line.
There are six natural looking shades. It is also oil-, fragrance-, paraben-, gluten-, sulfate-, and phthalate-free, with an SPF 15.
This beautifully packaged product costs $55.
I also like L'Oreal  Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream. This product looks much more natural and beautiful than you would ever expect from the way it looks and feels coming out of the tube.
When you squeeze it out, it looks chalky and feels gritty. The grittiness is caused by the light-reflecting minerals that look very pretty on your face. The gritty feeling disappears you rub the cream in. It also contains ingredients to tone, tighten, and moisturize – and it comes in two shades.
L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream packs a lot of beauty punch for about $12. It does not disguise imperfections completely. A small amount of concealer or foundation will be needed to cover dark circles or other blemishes, but it does leave skin looking dewy and more radiant.
Available at most drug stores.
DolceDolce Tip: My favourite method to use these products is "cocktailed." I mix together a small or a lentil-sized amount of each. I love the result. If only wanted to buy one, would apply it and then add a little foundation or illuminating concealer where I needed it.
