Fresh as a daisy

Signature Green Label Skirt in fresh floralI just received these fabulous pictures from designer and model Karen Green. They are from the new spring line for her Green Label Designs. I met Karen last year when she débuted her collection at Tulipano Boutique here in Atlanta. I was impressed with her energy, creativity, and drive. In the last year she has come a long way. She has expanded the line from her one very original skirt to include a dress, romper, and boxer shorts. Green Label Designs are now available at some of the chicest boutiques in the southeast, Boston, and counting. I know she has plans to take the line The "Martini" romperto Canada, too. This line has a piece you’ll want this spring.

Little pink skirt

Karen Green in her pink skirtAs soon as we took this item down, we had requests to run it again from readers who missed it – or who had friends who had hadn’t seen it. We have archives, but they thought it deserved an encore. We agree. And Karen is so sweet –if you email her and say you are from DolceDolce she will give you a deep discount –an early holiday gift!

When I spotted designer Karen Green’s short shocking pink paper-bag waist skirt at a party recently at Atlanta’s trendy Tulipani Boutique, it was fashion deja voodoo. I remember sporting similar little numbers back in the ‘80s with my sky-high stilettos and sheer black hose. It was a fabulous look then, and it is now too.
This 2009 version would look so cute this fall worn with black opaques. I can see it with everything from a simple form-fitting t-shirt to a sequined top. Who says you always need a little black dress to look chic? It also comes in black, purple, grey, and prints, and costs about $325.  for more info. FYI Karen now has the skirts in Wish Boutique on Charles Street and Mint Julip in Harvard Square –go  home town state.
