Help for dark circles, lines, and puffiness

123revitaleyes.jpgClick on top title to open and scroll  Lumixyl is one our favourite skin care lines to treat hyperpigmentation. We love it because it really works. It evens out skin tone, lightens hyperpigmentation, and leaves skin looking fabulous. It is a great line with ingredients to help prevent aging and protect skin.Revitaleyes is Lumixyl’s new eye cream. It is designed to counteract the very things that age the delicate skin around your eyes: darkness, puffiness, and creepiness. The lightweight cream contains Decapeptide–12. This is the “Lumixyl peptide” that reduces overproduction of skin pigment. It also contains Chrysin, N-Hydroxysuccinimide, EDTA to help fade discolouration from iron deposits in the skin around the eyes. There is also Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, a soothing botanical anti-inflammatory.Glycerin, Shea Butter, and Sodium Hyaluronate help to plump and smooth fine-line wrinkles while an “anti-aging cocktail” that includes powerful peptides and botanicals fights creepiness.

This is one of the best eye creams we have tired, especially if darkness or discolouration around your eyes is your problem. The entire Lumixyl line is effective and leaves skin looking healthy and luminous.

You can find it online and for information at http://www.lumixyl.com and http://www.lumixyl.net in Canada.

Wide-eyed and fresh-faced

Never too soon or too late to start to use eye creamDarlings, eye cream is basic. Too many women wait too long to start using it, and then they’re too stingy with it.  I began using it in my teens. At the time, some people mocked my beauty strategy. They’re not so cocky now.

When it comes to beauty, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  But don’t be discouraged. Just as it is almost never too early to be careful with your skin, it is never too late either. And eye cream does not have to cost a fortune to be good or effective either.

See DolceDolce What’s your Eye-Q  http://www.dolcedolce.com/?p=848 for the lowdown on eye creams.

Two new eye treatments that I really like are Philosophy’s Eye Hope and L’Oreal Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair.

Philosophy Eye Hope is an advanced anti-aging eye cream created to address fine lines, thinning skin, and puffiness. It increases firmness and helps prevent further skin damage in the delicate eye area.

It has anti-inflammatory ingredients, such as green tea and coffee bean extract. An effective ingredient, alpha glucosyl hesperidin, targets dark circles. Also included is a collagen enhancer and anti-oxidants to fight fine lines and wrinkles. They also added my favourite ingredient, hyaluronic acid, to plump and moisturize. There is niacinamide too, to repair the skin’s barrier capabilities and enhance hydration.

This elegant formula is free of irritants and yet is full of ingredients found in very expensive products. It would work well for women of all ages to fight dark circles and prevent the first signs of aging. The positive effects of the cream can be seen after the first few applications.

It’s $48, but feels more expensive. http://www.philosophy.com/eyehope/ehfaq.html

L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair 24 Hour Eye Repair Duo is a neat little wand that holds both an AM and PM eye treatment. The AM treatment has a Skin Fiber Restoring Complex to help repair the delicate eye area and SPF 15.

The PM formula contains Pro-Retinol to attack line and wrinkles. Pro-Retinol is a powerful antioxidant that revs-up the skin’s metabolism. It speeds up the turnover of aging cells and helps smooth the appearance and of fine line and crow’s feet.

Both formulas have delicious high-end ingredients such as caffeine for morning de-puffing, and there’s rich shea butter in evening formula. There are also ingredients to make your eye area look instantly better and smoother, just as there are in posh department store formulas. At about $20 for a morning and evening eye treatment, that’s good value for money.

Its powerhouse main ingredient, retinol, is a highly regarded anti-aging ingredient. The formula is effective as well as nice to use. The packaging is cute and convenient.

L’Oreal recommends this product for “deep-set wrinkles”.  I think that is like locking the safe after the jewel thieves have been and gone.  Really deep wrinkles can be moisturized so they will look better, but only Botox, fillers, or surgery can get rid of this type of skin aging. Prevention is the name of the game. So if you see any signs of aging around your eyes, this type of product may be what you need to prevent further harm. And don’t forget the vigilant use of sun block with antioxidants; it remains the single most important thing you can do for the health and beauty of your skin! www.lorealparisusa.com www.lorealparis.ca

Darlings, all expression lines are not unattractive — not at all. Look at Carla Bruni: she is beautiful and she has little lines about her eyes, but her skin is beautiful. Protect your skin and start early!
