Hot hair trends

Celebrity stylist Suki Duggan, owner of New York City’s Donsuki Townhouse. Here are two summer-sexy hair styles that are simple to do at home from one of our favourite celebrity stylists Suki Duggan, owner of New York City’s Donsuki Townhouse.

“The two looks that I am loving this summer are the double braid and the low ponytail.  Nothing is sexier than showing off your beautiful face and not hiding behind your hair,” said Duggan.  “Both these looks are also easy to do yourself.”

The double braid is a hot look and it combs out into sexy wavesThe double braid:
– Part hair down the middle
– French braid both sides
– Twist the ends into a low bun

Style tip: Embrace flyaways, they keep the style from looking princessy.

Simplle but chic low pony on ParisThe low pony:
– Slick back unruly hair with a pomade
– Gather hair at the nape of your neck using two elastics for support.
– Divide the tail into three sections and wind each around a curling iron
– Drag fingers through the ringlets for a lived-in look.

DolceDolce Tip: Work on perfecting these looks now. The low pony and loose waves are two trends that will be big this fall too!

Or be a real recessionista and follow the directions of top New York City stylist Suki Duggan, the owner of Donsuki Townhouse Salon in Manhattan, to transform your own hair into this fabulously sexy and fresh look. According to celebrity stylist Suki, “this trend will be huge this summer”.

Here is the step-by-step process for you to create your own basic hair band:

·        Measure out about 2 inches of hair on your right side of your head, where your headband would normally be positioned.
·        Lay the piece flat across your head and secure underneath and behind your ear with a bobbie pin.
·        Repeat steps 1 and 2 with your left side of your hair.
·        Style the rest of your hair as desired.

How fabulous is that?
