IT has you covered with a CC cream

I recently tried a sample of the new IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+ and it felt terrific. I did smooth it out with a sponge to keep it thin and even but I love the SPF 50 protection. I am a fiend on sun protection to prevent dark spots and the aging effects of the sun. Did you know that the sun can degrade your collagen and make your face sag?

IT Cosmetics worked with plastics surgeon to create IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+. What makes it different is that IT Cosmetics combines the coverage of a foundation with anti-aging ingredients and a non-chemical UVA/UVB SPF 50 sunscreen. The anti-aging hydrating formula contains peptides, niacin, algae, Vitamins A, C, B, E, hyaluronic acid, and hydrolyzed collagen along with anti-oxidants and exotic natural botanicals for long-term brightening and color-correcting benefits.
The highly-pigmented cream comes in five shades and covers without creasing. This is a great option for women looking for natural-looking coverage and a non-irritating formula.

A youthful anti-aging strategy

Anne Gravel's take on anti-aging productsDolce Dolce’s Anne Gravel gives us her take on the latest anti-aging skin care, especially designed for younger women:

At 25, I have the best of intentions, but I sometimes slip up on my skin care regime – and have to answer for it. I often eat poorly and sleep too little. I want the benefits of anti-aging products, but most of them tend to be a little too rich for my skin, resulting in breakouts. This is a mystery to me because my skin is super dry. Most of these anti-aging products are crafted for older women, so I’m relieved that this probably means that older women don’t have to battle acne as intensely as I do.
Recently I discovered FemmeScience.  Let me tell you: it rocks! To date, it is the only product line I have tried that balances the needs of younger skin with anti-aging power. It does this by combining both preventative anti-aging ingredients with lightweight moisturizing ingredients that do not cause breakouts!
I just love FemmeScience’s Hydrating Face Cleanser. Usually, I have to admit that I am weary of creamy cleansers. They are pleasant, but do they get the job done? FemmeScience’s Hydrating Cleanser goes on like a cream, then turns into a foam that lathers away dirt, makeup and oil. It contains glycolic and salicylic acids which are great for exfoliation and to prevent breakouts. It also contains antioxidants such as: green tea, pomegranate and Vitamins A, C, and E, and aloe.
A word of wisdom to all the 20-somethings out there: yes, these are proven anti-ageing ingredients. They are part of a good skin care routine. And no, you don’t have to worry about using them too early because “they’ll stop working after a while.” It doesn’t work that way.
I follow the cleanser with FemmeScience’s Moisturizer. It says “for starter wrinkles and treatment of youthful skin”. That means it’s for women in their twenties. It is lightweight and doesn’t make my skin oily, yet it’s incredibly moisturizing. It is a concentrated formula that contains powerful antioxidants and anti-aging compounds, including CoQ10 and Niacinamide, Beta Glucan, Oligopeptides (this peptide triggers collagen synthesis) as well as a variety of powerful antioxidants.
If you are prone to breakouts here is an additional tip: every time I sense one coming on I apply Reversa Solution for Oily and Acne Prone Skin to the area after cleansing and before applying moisturizer. It works wonders, and unlike other acne products, it doesn’t leave my face feeling like sandpaper.
