A lesson from the Queen

Recently a friend posted a lovely pair of photos of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on Facebook. The photos had been shared from a local English radio station as part of the celebrations to mark the queen’s record as the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom.

One photo shows a young Queen and Prince. It is touching. They appear youthfully beautiful. The other is recent and also very touching. The caption noted the Queen’s pearls and broach were the same in both pictures.

It is perhaps not so unusual that a queen – and one not known for fashion – would wear her jewels for decades. But the lesson is how well they suit her in both photos. You really can never go wrong with pearls.
