A healthy and tasty twist on hummus

If you think of hummus as healthy but boring, or healthy but fattening, then you needs to try the Eat Well Embrace Life, known as “the other bean hummus”. It combines other beans such as black and white beans, edamame, and red and yellow lentils with vegetables for a light, creamy and nutrient-rich hummus.

I recently tried a whole selection of their bright spicy flavours with my husband and friends. We all loved Eat Well Embrace Life hummus with fresh vegetables, thin bread sticks and whole grain flat bread crackers.

The two new flavours, Zesty Sriracha Carrot with a sunflower seed and apricot topping and Beet hummus with a pickled beet topping, are delicious. We all loved the freshness and little kick of chili.

It also feels great to eat something you enjoy knowing it is really good for you.

This hummus is a great way to add zing to your diet is healthy eating is one of your New Year’s resolutions. And don’t think of hummus as just a snack; it can be part of delicious light lunch too. I like it with a salad and few whole grain crackers or with a whole grain flat bread and sliced apple.
