A glamorous chignon

Guido's glamorous chignon for Yves St. LaurantRedken Creative Consultant Guido created hair styles with drop-dead glamour for the Yves Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2012. “YSL has such a heritage that it’s always its own reference,” Guido said, talking about his inspiration for the show. “This is a very glamorous, very womanly woman. It’s a wet look hairstyle, with all of the hair kept away from the face, like an actress. Raking the fingers through the hair adds a richness to it.”

Step-by-step get the look:
·        Apply satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion to damp hair and rough dry.
·        Apply full frame 07 all-over volumizing mousse, rake hair back with fingers away from the face, and tie with an elastic band.
·        Twist hair into a low chignon, securing it with a gold barrette as a "cast" for the chignon.
·        Finish with pure force 16 non-aerosol fixing spray and shine flash 02 glistening mist to add a rich, shiny finish, almost as if the hair looks wet.
